Teachers ordered schoolgirl, five, with alopecia to remove her wig for PE because it was a health and safety risk
A five-year-old girl who suffers from alopecia was forced to remove her wig during a BP lesson because it 'breached health and safety rules'.
Apryl Corbett was left feeling 'humiliated' after teachers forced her to take it off, claiming that it posed a danger to her schoolmates if it slipped off.
Her mother, Lianne, was furious after she had bought her daughter the wig when bullies began to ridicule her because of her 14 bald patches.
Miss Corbett, 27, from St Helens, Merseyside, said: 'They were trying to tell me that April was more than happy to take it off,' reports The Sun.
She added: 'But when she came home she said she was really sad because she didn't want people to see her hair. She was so pleased when she had the wig on. She had the biggest smile on her face.'
