We need to start building classrooms to teach children outside
If your schooldays resembled mine then they were spent sitting at grey, graffiti-covered tables on hard plastic chairs that stacked conveniently. But the landscape of education is changing from the conventional four walls of a classroom. We’re now 15 years on from the “forest school” revolution that started in Sweden. And with primary and secondary schools buckling under the weight of soaring population numbers, one solution with added benefits is to take things outside.
