Top marks for Annbank and St Cuthbert's Primaries after inspectors grade schools "good" or "very good" in all categories
Two of Ayrshire’s smallest schools have received a big pat on the back following spot inspections.
Positive reports were handed out to both Annbank and St Cuthbert’s Primaries after probes at the turn of the year.
Teams of inspectors praised life at Annbank in a report which graded the school “good” or “very good” in all primary categories.
The report stated: “Staff work very well together and with parents and partners to create a welcoming school and early learning centre which is seen as an important part of the village community.”
Areas highlighted for improvement included staff ensuring “there are more opportunities for children to lead learning”.
At St Cuthbert’s in Maybole inspectors spoke of children’s “range of involvement in activities in and beyond the classroom enhancing their confidence and achievements”.
